June update: keeping busy, having a blast!

From Coastal Collective to Queer & Allies, summer continues to roll on.

Special Events đŸŽȘ

Our first Coastal Collective was a smashing success! We showed up to Coast Gravity Park with 64 riders and had a blast riding laps, making pizzas, and singing our favourite karaoke tunes.

Our next Sirens Social will be at Wildeye on July 8th, with plans for a pre-ride coming soon! RSVP here.

Our next Queer & Allies ride is this Saturday, July 5th! đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ

We'll be meeting at the Braemar Tennis Courts for coffee and snacks courtesy of the NSMBA then head up into the trails for some laps. Join us at Wildeye Brewing afterwards for beverages, hangs, and some raffle prizes from Adidas/5.10!

Trail Update ⚒

Four women standing on a trail in rain gear in North Vancouver, BC for a trail day.

Summer is for riding! The NSMBA wrapped up their Women's+ Dig Series with a social event at North Point, where we mingled with lead diggers and the new ED Cynthia Young.

We'll be hosting a Sirens-specific dig days with Deanne on Sept 27th and Nov 1st. Before that, if you've got the itch to dig, check out the NSMBA's event page, which continues to host public trail days throughout July and August.

Race Team Update đŸš”â€â™€ïž

Our Race Team has been taking these last few weeks off from racing, prepping for the Bombshell Enduro in Vernon on July 12th, and the Sturdy Dirty Enduro in Raging River, WA on July 19. The stoke is high to return to both as many of our racers competed in them last year!

Our last race training workshop with Jamie Hill on July 27th in Squamish. These workshops have been so clutch in helping to get our skillsets dialled and prepping us for upcoming races, including our last few in Whistler and Revelstoke in August and September.

Mentorship Program ✹

Our mentorship program will be wrapping up for the season soon. It's been amazing watching and hearing about all the progress our mentees have been making over the season.

Workshops đŸ—Łïž

Based on last year’s mechanics workshop feedback, we offered a new workshop this year: on-trail fixes. Ten women got together at Steed Cycles to learn what to do when the wheels stop turning. As always, Bridget was an all-star, showing us how to plug tubeless tires, disassemble chains and more tricks to keep us rolling!

There are three more workshops for the 2025 season with limited spots available. Sign up today!

We're still looking for a Director of Fundraising & Treasurer. If you're stoked on numbers and funds and want to help us out, please email us at shoresirens@gmail.com.
